Before you take the plunge into alternative energy, it is wise to look around you and to think ahead.
Many factors can impact on the final design of the system that is right for you, including your level of access to sun, wind and water, your current needs and your desire to leave room for the system to grow with you.
Our staff will meet with you to discuss your needs. We will visit your site with you, to take some measurements and to get a clear understanding of your situation.
We will provide you with a report containing our recommendations for meeting your needs. Where possible and practical, based on your wishes, we will provide conservation advice. Finally, we will provide a detailed parts list, as well as a quote for parts and a separate quote for installation, in the event you decide to perform the installation yourself.
The basic consultation package is a low-cost way to determine whether alternative energy is the solution for you.

Our staff will visit your home and take energy usage readings on your electric devices. Sure, you know how much your refrigerator is supposed to draw: but how much electricity does it draw in real life, with a layer of dust on the cooling coil, jammed into a corner of a warm kitchen? Some of your electrical devices may consume as much power when turned off as they do when turned on. Hmm.... Our staff will measure your electrical usage and provide you with an itemized chart based on our measurements and a survey which we will go over together.
Based on the price of electricity in your area, our staff will identify measures which you can take to decrease your electrical bill. Our goal is to provide you with the cost of implementing each option and the expected benefit in terms of dollars and cents as well as in terms of benefit to the environment. We will provide a sliding-scale solution. For example: if you are prepared to invest only a small amount of money into your home's electrical efficiency, the report will identify low-cost options which will have a significant impact, for example the specific lights in your home which ought to be changed to compact fluorescents, given the operating limitations of the CF bulbs and your usage pattern. If you are prepared to invest more, our report will indicate how much impact you can expect from your larger investment.
